Traditional Therapeutic
Massage therapists use long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements
on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion or oil. Traditional
Therapeutic therapy can be very gentle and relaxing. If you've never had
massage before, this is a good one to try first.
Deep Tissue & Orthopedic Massage:
Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of
muscle and connective tissue. The massage therapist uses slower strokes or
friction techniques across the grain of the muscle. Treatment may also
include Trigger point therapy a bodywork technique that involves the
applying of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and
dysfunction in other parts of the body.
Deep tissue massage is used
for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural
problems, or recovery from injury. People may feel sore for one to two days
after deep tissue massage.
Acupressure/Shiatsu:
Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the
fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the
body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they
release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's
life force to aid healing improve the flow of energy and help the body
regain balance.
Pre and Post natal:
Also called pregnancy massage, prenatal massage is
becoming increasingly popular with expectant mothers. Prenatal massage helps
to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce
anxiety and depression. The massage is customized to a woman's individual
needs.
Post Natal Massage Therapy also helps to reduce
stress and aid in relaxation, along with this it can help to reduce pain in
shoulders, neck and back, accelerate the reduction of fluid retention, and
even help to tone up the body after pregnancy.

Sports massage is specifically designed for people
who are involved in physical activity. But you don't have to be a
professional athlete to have one––it's also used by people who are active or
work out often. The focus isn't only on relaxation but on preventing and
treating injury and enhancing athletic performance and recovery.
